The project

The Virtual Archeological Museum of Herculaneum offered us a great challenge : to realize the first movie theater in Italy for the projection of a 3D-360°video.

Two months of work, 14 cameras, 10 actors and extras in costume, 3 days of filming to produce a beautiful 12 minutes high definition short movie projected on a circular 25sqm screen that today represents the main attraction of the museum.

A unique experience, a journey through time that takes the viewer back 2000 years, directly in the excavations of Ercolano, the city buried together with Pompei by the ashes of the Vesuvius volcano in 79 AD, allowing him to also visit areas currently not open to the public.

So archeology becomes innovative and the use of a new experimental language brings a different value to the storytelling of the great Italian historical and cultural heritage.
